I have about 20 leak sensors half Insteon half z-wave most are these zooz and then a couple of the homeseer units. All work well after a few months together on the IOP, never tried these on my now dormant 994

@larryllix's version is pretty respectable as a hard core all-in-isy version. As an alternative I have been using MQTT for a while with the ISY MQTT node server. Mostly for my homemade IOT sensors well before the cheap off the shelf versions available now. In your application you could have a very simple program which updated an MQTT node off a sensor. This is sent to a common MQTT server (I run off an extra rPI3). Then on the other ISY or IOP you could have the mirror node and fire your program based on that. This allows easy two way communications if you have sensors on either unit. Its been pretty solid for me now for a few years. Hope this helps @asbril

I think if the purpose is to log data in some way there are a number of ways to get there which might be tweaked depending on the task at hand. saying this I do agree it would be really nice now that we have Polisy to just right click on a node or variable and 'turn on logging' which is put to some rolling text file. This would be very cool. @MrBill a network push to IFTT, where they have a 'few' micro-aps to add to google sheets. a network push to an RPi (or any computer, just easy with linux and cheap with RPi) which would store a text file with a date stamp. if your use case is pretty stable then a node server which takes your data and sends to an MQTT and is pulled from there using one of the tools out there, or write your own with python.

yup mine works great too ; it triggers off my wired system.

knock wood but personally never had a failure. I am a factor of ten less then @kzboraybut have about 150 devices over a period of 7 years.

I bought one to try & it seems to work well. Paired just fine, works with both scenes and programs in Polisy. Bought two more, one the way.

I recently went from a couple z-wave to a bunch. We installed a new bathroom and bar in the basement so needed a bunch of leak sensors. Couldn't get more Insteon at the time. I am using the Zooz and the HomeSeer leak sensors. Both work fine flawlessly, the HomeSeer has an optional extension which comes with it ; I used it in the sump. I added a few z-wave extenders of the Aeotech variety to get where I needed to go. More expensive than the Insteon but not out of this world.

Likely another unhelpful post but I moved to IoP and my Insteon (& z-wave) leak sensors are working. I did use a new PLM as I went to a USB version, needed to do a restore PLB and have since needed to restore most of my devices one by one. (I have felt like the restore PLM stopped in the middle of things). again, more to give you hope than do I think this is helpful.

A light just went on in my head of why all my seasonal programs (temp of the lake which is under 6” of ice) came on when I moved to ISY on Poly. I will do both of these as well. For me my keypads are working fine. I changed from serial to usb plm so had to do a restore of the plm. Also I have found along the way that some devices were not responding so well. In each case a restore of the device solved the issue. As I am now using this time to refactor my scenes and programs a bit I am just restoring devices room by room as I touch them. Having done it relatively recently, it is that simple from 20k feet. IF, you already have verified that you have the ISY on the Polisy and can get to it already in blank / virgin state. btw: : take a back-up of the virgin state as well. go through your two steps above. Now it depends on your setup. Are you moving the PLM over if you have one? Do you have Z-wave? What is the state of your PolyGlot? I dd a new PLM ; easier with old. Z-wave do not come over. I had PG online, PG2, & PG3 Oh and I decided to change the IP of my Poly at the same time. So I had a bit of a muddle but must say I am now up and working with a powered down resting 994ISY. Its worth the effort.

Thanks @Javi , I was about half way through my favourites when I got this, but it gave me a chance to clean them up a bit and improve the organisation. I do agree that there are a few documentation / standardized work opportunities here as there will be more than a few people moving over in the next few months I would guess. Appreciate the answer.

Just opened 0.6.6 and found an issue but I don't think its new to this version ; there may be a few people like me turning off their old 994ISY moving to the PolisyISY. If you go into settings/systems and pick one of your ISYs down at the bottom is the ability to enable/disable that ISY with UD mobile. When you do that and then save the app still wants to sync with the ISY on the save. I would suggest at that point, when the user disables connection to an ISY the app should just skip the sync. My 994 is unplugged now and so I effectively cannot disable using it.

Ahhhh. I just went through 150 NRs Lol. I did also find I had to tick Use SNI for my https: type NRs; the rest was just a re-save. Also, wanted to state publicly that my IP loss issues were all my fault due to an old switch competing for the IP address. I think I am now ready to convert my portal integrations over & then have the 994 pulling of the plug ceremony *sniff* SeJ

@Michel Kohanim, to start with there was no PLM failure I had the old style serial PLM attached to my 994. I purchased (maybe one of the last ones) a USB PLMs for use with the Polisy. The backup was my last working version with the 994. I certainly could spark it up and make another backup to restore to the Polisy. Is it possible that the backup was not good? Hard to test that without restoring it to the 994 which may be my last current good copy now. Happy to try that as you have now shown us how to fix our own portal tab issue

So some observations: First, I have moved my PG2 & PG3 to point at PolyISY restored my 994ISY to my PolyISY restored to a new USB PLM (twice, second time reduced the number of links to 1/4) 1. my nodes show up in the network or isy listing but not on the left window 2. I lose the Poly every so often. Not rebooting, like I lose the IP address, does not show up online on the portal. Lose admin, ssh, PG2/3. Recovers after a few minutes. 3. Have been working through my networking items resaving one my one. Seems you have to edit our touch and re-save. Have had some success with this. 4. Have not been getting triggering on most (all?) programs. Control was not working but status was ; just on certain switches. I concentrated on a small two switch triggered program. One switch would trigger the program & it was status based. The second would not, it was control based. I restored that switch (twice as I was making other program changes). That one program now triggers and works as normal with control or status as the trigger. No need for a query. Just observations. I am loath to restore all of my switches individually as I have many. btw: I think obvious but this is all with Insteon switches. Have not tried to add my z-wave back in yet. Hope this helps!
