Moisture / Leak sensors: Replacements for Insteon
Thought I read that on the forum for this Node server. Also read that it didn't seem very clear of the data path. So is it 'all local' but it needs to call momma to work, or does the data really go to the cloud and back. I am also interested in Zigbee. My experience so far with Z-wave has been kind of "OK" but I don't feel the reliability that I have had with the Insteon. The switches have worked fine but the sensors, door in my case, have been spotty. Also not interested in a complex path back to the Policy, would like a plug-in like the z-wave or Insteon which can go through a node server. With all that, any thoughts out there, this is an interesting discussion to me?

Moisture / Leak sensors: Replacements for Insteon
Pretty neat, so you got me looking at their web-site and then your node-server, and then the forum. You seem to state it in the GitHub but to be clear ALL of this can happen on my local network, from the tags to the tag-manager, to the poly node server, to the ISY (last step obvious)? And this node server with the rest server works ok on the polyglot since I plan on moving my ISY there as well I'd like to end up with one device. Thank you so much for bringing this up. Seems much more reliable than z-wave which I have just found OK so far with a few devices. Stephen

Moisture / Leak sensors: Replacements for Insteon
Yes I may not have been clear, I have z-wave devices and am familiar with them. Trying to get advice / opinions from this crowd on good/bad experiences with the devices & reliability of them. The Insteon’s I have been great but they are the only leak sensors I have used & I am getting worried about the supply as almost all Insteon have been out of stock for a while. SeJ

Moisture / Leak sensors: Replacements for Insteon
As Insteon seems on the decline at least for availability (have had great experience with their moisture sensors) does anyone have recommendations for moisture / leak sensors? Would prefer z-wave as opposed to wifi.

ISY on Polisy v5.2.0 Is Now Available
Much appreciated. At least I’ll stop banging my head on it. So as this isn’t stopping me from my next step in transition; I haven’t really begun moving stuff over, I’m still playing to test stability. If a known issue would the team prefer a ticket or just wait a bit? Don’t want to cause undue noise to this excellent development team. SeJ

ISY on Polisy v5.2.0 Is Now Available
After the upgrade my Polisy ISY no longer shows as online in the ISY Portal. Have tried reboots and otherwise. Locally ISY and Node server both work just fine. Except it does not show the portal module any more. Does not seem to be a network issue as my 994 ISY shows up just fine. Thoughts for me to try?

Curl command returns values; Network Resources does not
You are advanced enough to use curl, that says you know enough. Start small and inch your way there. The cleanest way is a node server for sure but there are other ways to skin the cat (I am old too btw: ). Write a script with curl and then use the ISY REST to write your variable. Then have your script run as a service on a desktop or a raspberry pi triggered regularly. I did this before the nodes were a thing then finally took a look at a few node server examples and made first some changes to others then my own node. SeJ

ISY 5.1.1 Is Now Available
Omg this is a wonderful feature. As stated previous it will reduce my NR significantly as I mastery use them with prowl for notifications. I’ll be watching the thread on getting it to work. Also building up my fortitude to start from scratch on the Polisy. SeJ

ISY 5.1.1 Is Now Available
@Michel Kohanim, yes sir I did. a couple times to be sure. when I look up similar issues with bsd they suggest to 'wait' until the servers update, but it seems most others here are not having any issues.

ISY 5.1.1 Is Now Available

Updating udi repository catalogue... udi repository is up to date. All repositories are up to date. when run from the portal the update gives a http 500 error when run from the admin the update window asks for me to do a backup then nothing. any thoughts?

Alexa Much Slower than Google
I do not use GH, just Alexa & while sometimes the voice recognition can be frustrating, once it understands execution is maximum 5s and usually quicker. I use the portal V3 and have north of 50 commands linked to my isy.

sub-account limit?
Mpg, Have you played around with Alexa groups at all? They were pretty basic at first but work “ok” now. If you put the Alexa for the room in the group I know the “Alexa lights on” works well generically in multiple rooms. The same is claimed & may be true with other devices. If you go into the app there is help for groups that is much much better than when it first came out. You can even nest groups now.

sub-account limit?
Of course the specific answer to your question is above. I’m curious to ask why are you using a different account for each Alexa. I have 8 units in my house using the same Alexa skill -> portal -> ISY. Is there a security or control issue you are concerned about? Interested; one of us may learn something here, likely me.

Can't include Insteon scenes into Routines
Besides organization does anyone know any feature differences between scenes and devices on the Alexa?

Can't include Insteon scenes into Routines
Can verify the same workaround. Change to light/device from scene. (remember to 'forget' the old scene and 'discover' on the Alexa app or website). Only risk I can see here is now you could tell Alexa to set a scene to a percent on. Not a big deal.
