  1. Me too, I would think ~20% at a time is useful, the current 9% is simply not use full.. Maybe 6 pulses for 18% would be good compromise? Cheers, Alex
  2. Jon, this works on devices, not scenes.. Cheers, Alex

In the Wiki you will find instructions on how to fully integrate your ISY with the Amazon Echo. It works great and it is awesome - good luck Here is the link: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_Amazon_Echo_Integration Cheers, Alex
  4. TheFallenAngel replied to Paulk8's topic in Amazon Echo
I did few "tests" and not seeing it.. Cheers, Alex
  5. And I feel stupid now cos I misread the PP, I thought the magnet lock should keep the door locked (closed) Cheers, Alex
  6. You should just control directly the scenes in Alexa.. Create corresponding spokens for your scenes in the Portal:bedroom fan low bedroom fan medium bedroom fan high The the phrase is "Alexa turn on bedroom fan medium" note where the ON is.. I tried having the 'on' as part of the spoken but the two ons got confusing and also Alexa gets confused by long spokens.. So you need TURN ON "SPOKEN" Cheers, Alex
  7. Well the link I saw from Gary, that's not possible - no power, no lock.. Second link that is, first link actually keeps the door open (for emergencies) does not lock it (just sain') If you know of one that does what you describe - please post a link or two to those.. Cheers, Alex
  8. The only issue I see with the magnet lock is uninterrupted power.. Cos if power I'd down, door is unlocked. Needs battery backup. Cheers, Alex
  9. I wonder if that means Alexa could then have Google Assistant Skill.. Cheers, Alex
  10. Doubt that from Google.. Cheers, Alex
  11. Well actually Heat is Energy - not Power.. Cheers, Alex
  12. Actually will be native integration in Alexa, and all I've seen states Beginning of 2017... Cheers, Alex
  13. 1. Computer (instant nerdgasm) 2. Jarvis (so so cool) 3. Hey Bitch (when I feel like it) I am Shocked they are refusing to allow us to me wake words with the bolded and underlined disclaimer "if it doesn't work - try another or use the default omes" Cheers, Alex
  14. I would go with "Alexa give me the..." I know "Tell me.." Is actually more correct, but we tent to use give more often. Cheers, Alex
  15. And I guess was easier to learn German that that French thing.. French was also the reason Cortana came to Canada several months later Cheers, Alex
  16. So, we got fracked again eh.. Here is what Amazon Support had to say in the subject: "Hello Alex, I understand your concern about Canada not being included in the places where the new Echo Devices are being launched. I'd like to tell you that, Alexa's voice recognition is processed by the cloud rather than by a local device. Alexa responds immediately to our voice requests, because she functions through the Amazon Web Services cloud network to route voice requests to the closest server that answers the fastest. As our customers had written to us about device availability in countries outside the U.S., our Technical Team had come up with the best possible locations where Amazon Web Services can be utilized efficiently by Alexa. Currently, UK and Germany were determined as the places where Alexa's functionality can be at its best. However, our Development Team is looking into making Alexa's services available in several places outside the U.S. I've forwarded your concern to our Development Team. They'll look into this and take the necessary action." Cheers, Alex
  17. What are you referring to? Cheers, Alex
  18. TheFallenAngel replied to Paulk8's topic in Amazon Echo
Yes of course but for that each of them should have separate Amazon account and be added to a separate ISY Portal sub-account. Cheers, Alex
  19. Very exciting, please keep us posted! Cheers, Alex
  20. TheFallenAngel replied to Paulk8's topic in Amazon Echo
Nope - nothing on Canada which is pathetic of Amazon considering they are doing Germany! [emoji35] Cheers, Alex
  21. TheFallenAngel replied to Paulk8's topic in Amazon Echo
That's available too and it's call Amazon Echo. Cheers, Alex
  22. TheFallenAngel replied to Paulk8's topic in Amazon Echo
The purpose of the Dots are NOT to be speakers, they don't need to sound amazing. Their purpose is to stream everything to what you have connected to them wirelessly or with cable. Cheers, Alex

Both mine are.. Using industrial strength Velcro (few bucks on Amazon). Just don't put babe in the corner - they don't like that.. Cheers, Alex
