guys, sounds very simple, but I cant figure that one out. I have a "all off" button on a keypad that turns all the lights off. button is in toggle-off mode. works great. now I want that "all off" button to also turn the thermostat fans to "auto" how do I do that? if I add it the the scene, I need to set cool VS heat, set temperature and fans too. (all 3) when I only want to change the fan to auto. if I try to do a program that is triggered by the "all off" button, it does not work. I believe this is due to the toggle-off mode of the button. so the button never really get "on" so the program never trigger. I tried: if status "keypad/allOff" is responding "does not work if status "keypad/allOff" is off "does not work if status "keypad/allOff" is 100% "does not work any idea how to get my fans to auto when I press a button in toggle-off mode? thanks

new challenge now. sun is out and I realized that after 8 hours of sun, pool turns off. so I want it to be on as long as the solar panels wants it (I/O sensor) then, at night, if pool ran for less than 8 hours, to start the pool to do 8 hours total. in other words, if I have 10 hours of sun and solar panel system wants to run for 10 hours, fine. in that case. do not run at night. but if I only had 2 hours of sun. I want the pool to run for 6 hours at night. I will need your help... im now at 5 program to get it to run and it still does not work... lol

I would say "so far so good" I reset all insteon device, my ISY and did "restore PLM" and everything works. had 2 little issues where 2 swiches stoped responding to scenes. removed the device from ISY, factory defaulted it, and re-added and they work. about 24 hours later, everything good so far... hopefully that reset of everything will fix it

I only did "restore PLM" in ISY menu. that is not a reset I guess, right? reset PLM would be the same way as I reset a I/O link?

Before devices were linked using local button for linking. Weird. When I added devices in isy, I select remove link. But seems like like factory default is more effective. I did reset all devices, reset isy, and restore plm. Hopefully everything will start working as they should

Guys, with all the issues I had lately, I think I will factory default everything. Plus, I had 2 more issues with 2 devices (program can turn on a scene with its devices, but IPhone can't) and I factory defaulted those device and it all worked right away! Some background, I had the isnteon 2412n as controler, it died and got replaced with a hub. It died too, got replaced with another hub. Now replaced with isy. I think devices might be confused with too many config or something. Can it be? I plan to factory default all my switches and keypad. Should I reset the isy and plm too?

hi all, I have solar panel to heat the pool. if sunny and warm, the solar panel system will start. when solar panel system start, Insteon is send electricity to the pool pump. (I/O sensor to read that solar panel system want to start and insteon swtich to send electricity to pool pump. that part works (actually, will work, when it will get warm here... lol) my challenge is, I want the pool to run for 8 hours a day. so if pool ran for 5 hours during the day due to sun and warm day, I want the pool to run an extra 3 hours at night. how do I program that? I did a small ISY program that count how many minutes a swtich is ON. that's easy but how do I get a ISY program to run based on an amount of time from a variable? thanks!

ok found it. sorry guys for bugging you. I tried turning the circuit braker off, didn't solved the issue. I removed the KPL from ISY and re-added it. seems to work now. before I only had one button that could get turned on, now I have 3 (out of 3 attempts) I guess something went wrong when I added the KPL to ISY in the first place...

ok now I understand your question. no clue on which one of the 120v it is connected. I had issues in the past when I had only 3-4 insteon devices. now that all my house have insteon (about 40 devices) I don't have those communication issues anymore.

actualy I didn't press the button on the keypad causing issues. I pressed the button on a working keypad where ISY is configured to turn on a secondary button on that "causing issues" keypad when I press a button on the "causing issues" keypad, it successfully turn on what ever I want.

not quite sure I understand your question. sorry. seems pretty simple... shame on me... lol all my 5 keypad are connected to the 3 wires (ground neutral and 120v) only the keypad causing me issues have something connected on the red wire. it does turn on a light with the main button on that keypad. all other 4 keypad have have nothing connected to the red wire. could that be it? or I didn't understand your question...

I did another test. took 3 keypad including the one I have issues with, created a new scene in ISY, added one secondary button per keypad in the scene. all 3 button as controller. if I press the button on the keypad that cause me issues, it can successfully turn on and off the button on the other 2 keypad. the the other 2 keypad fail to turn on or off the button the the keypad causing me issues.

hi all, first post here as I got my ISY yesterday. this forum is SOOO useful! in the ISY interface, I created a scene to turn on a keypad button (I have read it's the only way) doing this works for all my 4 keypad except one keypad.... when I press the button on the keypad itself, I see it's status turn ON in the ISY scene, but if I turn on the scene , the button stay off, even if status went to on. tried turning off the circuit beaker for this keypad. still not working. in the exact same scene, I added a button of another keypad. when I turn on the scene, this other keypad button goes on, but the problem remains on the keypad (talking about the secondary button all the time here, all as responder in the scene) any idea?
