it is a keypad link and want to control from a controlinc i want some devices on and some off. they are all appliance types so switches. i can't set dim to 0 to have same effect with appliances

can i have a scene where some lights are on and some are off? if i have a situation where i want to make sure that lightA goes on lightB goes off fan goes on can that be in a scene? if not do i just have to program this some how? what is recommended?

i have been using the isy99 for a few months now maybe. it has been great. I purchased two more 6 button keypad linc switches to replace a single switch. things have been going down hill since. i pulled the switch and put the new 6 button switch in place. i added it to the links and it appeared good. however, when i dragged the device into the 'All Devices' scene i had created, it will never respond to the all off of the scene as all the other devices do. i have reset the switch and tried everything i can think of. i can control the device by selecting it and clicking on or off. but never works in the scene

ok thanks, i will do that. now, is there a way for iSY99 to set the Status for the KL to off so i don't have to press the off button so next time it will detect the ON action?

maybe, i will try this, but based on what i had before. this would fire when i hit the keypadlinc button that is 'megan' to set it on. what i am confused about is the control linc is not being 'switched' on it is ON according to the ISY99. what i am trying to accomplish is that the control link next to bed is the MBDR Controller (1), i want to press the ON button then run commands based on whether or not the keypadlnk button for Megan is on or off thanks If Control 'MBDR Controller (1)' is switched On And Status 'Megan Home' is On Then Run Program 'BedTimeCommon' (If) Wait 10 seconds Set 'Megans Room Bath' 30% Set 'Megans Room Overhead' On Set 'Megans Room Lava Lamp' On Send Notification to All

actually right now the action fires when i hit the keypad linc that sets the Megan Status to ON. the controlinc button is not being pressed but the isy99 shows the status of the controlink to be ON. i believe the problem i would have with your suggestion is that i would loose the ELSE part of the condition.... the situation works fine if the Megan ON status for the keypad link is off and i press the controlink button ON

i created a program that only sets the therms. i call this prog from all places where i want to set therm back. this gives me just ONE place to modify prior to going on vacation so the therm will stay set back

I wanted to know if it was dark outside and have in the past been able to compare in programs that if the time was > Sunset or Time < SunRise then it must be dark outside. I am trying to replicate this in ISY stuff and can't seem to do it. I thought that if i could set a flag some how. Set the flag on SunSet and turn off at SunRise. then in the program i could just check to see if this flag is set and know whether to turn lights back on or not

***CANCEL *** that last request. i had brought controlinc into a different room where PC was and it is not very insteon friendly. once i plugged it back in the bedroom it worked as you said. thanks

is there anyway to detect a controlinc button press? i want a program to run if the #1 on button is pressed on my controlinc thanks

ok, i restarted the program and the 2 test program i was trying to save disappeared, no surprise there. so i created another program and was able to save it. after playing with the program a few times it will no longer save again. what is up with this?

i got the isy99 and got all of the Insteon devices set up into it. Now, i am trying just a simple program and getting no where. From what i have read here in wiki. i create program, the page icon has green arrow, then create simple program, the save, then the green arrow should go away leaving just page on left panel. then i got to the Program Summary and it is listed but under activity it says NOT Saved. what am i missing here?
