Trying out zigbee
main reason playing with this is I want to control temp and brightness. I do step down brightness of many bulbs around the house in the evening and step them up in the mornings, but would like to also warm and cool. One reason for trying to add them as zigbee is that you can bond them with a zigbee switch for that "instant" on/off as if they were wired. I have an insteon motion sensor 2 in the utility room linked directly to the switch in that room. You can't even get your hand through the doorway but the light is on. Compare that to another that goes though isy and there is a granted small, but noticeable delay in the round trip. I have a zwave motion switch (multisensor 6) and it is a second or two from the time the led on the sensor flashes till lights come on. I have the inovelli blue zigbee switch with the MMwave I am wanting to put in a bathroom to control the lights in there. Was wanting to put the hue bulbs in there to start. Then I could do away with some of the programming and sensors hopefully relying on the mmwave to determine occupancy. I DO have the last generation of hue hub but my understanding from google is that to bond bulb and switch they need to be on same hub. If I can't get this to work I'll look in to the new pro hub but wanted to try this first. So far, not batting at all. Still can't seem to get the bulbs to actually add. They say they're there but get errors about nodes if I try to adjust color, brightness. Just tried to add the inovelli and similar results. It gets added to the list, but no info. Also, after the interview and number was added to device list, the switch flashed red then went back to blue. It should have flashed green so don't believe it was actually added. I've just started trying out zigbee. First attempts revealed that my dongle was bad from the start. I had zwave but no zigbee. Michael did replace the bad board but still stuck trying to actually successfully add anything zigbee.

Trying out zigbee
There is no zigbee network yet. I was testing, trying to add these two bulbs. Got them in a lamp plugged in near the eisy. I HAD tried the admin console before. Did it again but one of them came back. Did it again, rebooted eisy and it seems to have done it. Synced from admin, then checked mobile.and synced there. That all seem to be gone. What you said about being in iox might be part of it. Id say remove, delete, and reboot. NOW if I can get it to actually fully add the hue bulbs we'll be rolling.... Better to do that from admin mobile? Somewhere I saw someone someplace say you need to add zigbee from mobile?

Trying out zigbee
Believe I did that but will give another try to be sure. I've done this for both admin console and the app on the phone. On the phone they'll disappear until I synchronize then they're back. I've done this with zwave without issue. This zigbee is just not cooperating. First I find that the zigbee is bad in my dongle, Michael took care of that but still going nowhere fast. It's not so much changing colors, although turning red under certain conditions could be good, it's more about dimming and changing temperature. I do the dimming as it is, but I'm wanting to warm them throughout the evening and cool them during the day.

Trying out zigbee
I'm trying out zigbee. I've got a couple of hue bulbs, a white and a color. I've managed to add the white twice and the color once. None of them work. If I try to access color, brightness, or anything it gives me a message not available. I had added via eisy.and via the app. Nothing. So, try to remove from the list to see about starting over but won't let me delete. How can I remove? Tried remove, delete, even reset zigbee. What am I missing?

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
This is what it's.sounding like. So, are you using a.switxh to turn on the hue bulbs? New or old hue hub? What kind of delay do you have? Anybody using a "smart bulb" switch? I currently have a multisensor 6 turning on a fixture via an insteon switch. While it is quick, it's still a noticeable delay by the time the sensor "SEES" a person, transmits to eisy and eisy turns on switch. On the other end of the scale I have an insteon sensor two linked to another insteon switch and it is instant.

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
Yeah, have done that numerous times. Doing a.lot of reading. Hadn't done much since the the dongle came out and I installed it. Everything I read leads down another rabbit hole with all kinds of new stuff.

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
As it was right under a tic box I had dismissed it. Now it sticks but in the admin console it says zmatter zigbee not responding. In mobile if I start a zigbee add it says can't start inclusion.

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
Google just told me yes, I can bind the bulbs and the inovelli switch. HOWEVER, they must be on same hub.....

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
As they are zigbee I should be able to use zigbee binding to turn the bulbs off and on just like linking a insteon switch and motion sensor. What I'm wondering is when the presence sensor in the switch sees nobody present, and it tell isy to turn the bulbs off.....

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
Ok, plan is to have inovelli presence sensing switch bound to the bulbs in smart bulb mode so you can use switch on the wall to turn it off or on AND have the presence sensor to turn it off off unoccupied. But currently under program I sequentially step brightness down at night and up in the morning and want to continue that ALONG with warming the color at night and cooling it in the morning. Is that something handled easily with the hue app? Obviously I'm going to have to use zigbee for the switches.

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
So I saw two plug ins in the store. Is this what you're talking about? Which one are you using? These allow the eisy to talk to the hue hub?

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
First issue I have is I keep checking the Zigbee support box but when I reboot, it's unchecked? I did buy the ZMatter usb box when it came out. I believe I'm on all the latest firmware, I have updated all packages. What am I missing? How do I turn on zigbee?

Eisy, zigbee and Hue?
Still trying to get zigbee going on my eisy. Am wanting to add hue lights. Trying to decide if they will work fine on their own or if I'd be better with one of the plug ins or with the hue pro hub? Am looking also at wanting to add the inovelli mmwave switches in a few places linked directly to the bulbs for immediate response. Anybody used the new Blue line inovelli switches? With hue? Suggestions, tips?

How much longer until the portal reconnects?
Maybe that's what's going on with me too? I've been trying to get zigbee working and turned it on last night in configuration rebooted and isy was working . This morning it says 503 can't connect. Portal says can't connect

Best ISY supported "smart" water main shutoff valve?
I'm using a pair of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083XGZXRH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 for the water supply to my washing machine. It's nice in that they auto shut off on power loss (great for this application), they have others that don't auto close. I control them with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0846DZJD8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not knowing where your valve is, can you not get a 24v supply to the valve location? I have a shut off IN the house added when I added a water softener. I intend (one of these days) to add a controllable shut off there as well and would probably just go with another of these US Solid valves. The ones I have get quite a workout every week.
