EZX10Rf Support

I've been considering purchasing SHN EZX10RF device to use with X10 remotes and motion sensors.

Any comments on how well this is supported with ISY99? Also, how reliable are X10 Rf only signals on an otherwise Insteon only network? Do motion sensors work well under this arrangement? How about keychain remotes?

Do keep us posted if you try it. I am just sick of the Insteon motion sensors not reporting consistently and still have a LOT of hawkeyes in a box.

Nice about them is they were not terribly pet sensitive either.

I can confirm my EZX10RF works on 3.3.10. It has firmware v.1C I just added it from scratch and defined an X10 code.

However, that does not insure a new EZX10RF will work. Smartenit started shipping I2CS based EZFlora and EZIOxx devices which do work with the ISY as well as older EZFlora and EZIOxx devices. Reacting to I2CS concerns by other products (not UDI) Smartenit started shipping devices with new PLMs that had been reflashed with older PLM firmware. Some of these hybrid reflashed devices do not work with the ISY. The PLMs no longer indicate I2CS but they no longer work with Peek/Poke.

I do not know what new EZX10RF and EZSnsRF devices are being shipped with. Therefore do not know if newly shipped devices will work.

Just installed the EZX10RF device on my Insteon network. Works like a charm with ISY-99.

Those previously unreliable Hawkeye motion sensors now generate reliable ON and OFF codes. I've used my surplus stash of these motion sensors now to detect occupancy in a room. Glad I didn't get rid of these motion sensors - they're now truly usable.

Thanks Lee for the info.
