Any updates on the Ecobee Beta release of their API and having the ISY talk with it?

 

After many weeks of emails and a couple of calls I was able to confirm that if I buy their commercial unit, their remote sensor module, and interface some relays to their equipment module that comes with the base thermostat, that I could indeed control my shop hydronic radiant floor, the bathroom electric radiant floor, and the home with furnance and heat pump all from just one thermostat and via their API and via their website and therefore phone apps.

 

I have ordered a pair of the compatible Tekmar D07 slab temperature sensors, one for the bathroom floor when it's getting done soon, and one to slide into a spare tube I left in my shop floor for a sensor. Their RMS can handle many hundred feet runs of the sensor wire so I can run all this back into the house.

 

With the rms I can also get humidity and outside temperature if I buy those sensors and by theory feed all this into the ISY at some point.
