smbaker
Houselinc had a nifty feature that would continuously poll all of my devices and report the number of packets that were dropped and the number of hops to each device. I've looked for a similar feature in the ISY admin console, but I don't see it anywhere. Does the ISY have similar capability? If not, is there any harm in linking devices to both the ISY and houselinc so I can still use houselinc's signal diagnostics? Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hello smbaker, Unfortunately no on both counts. 1. Diagnostics is a feature for which we have plans ... 2. If you like your device to HL, ISY would not know anything about it and thus it might get out of synch and all sorts of issues such as phantom links With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
smbaker
The ISY can save all of my Insteon device settings, right? Can I save them, play around with signaling diagnostics in Houselinc, and then restore them via the ISY? Link to comment
LeeG
In theory yes. Just as the ISY adds link records when a device is added so the ISY can control and know device state, HL does the same thing. Basically the ISY environment is being destroyed. Every device should be factory reset and then have a Restore Device done after playing with HL. Be sure to take a good ISY backup before starting with HL. Link to comment
