JPStokes Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Hi guys, I have a Concord 4 Alarm Panel with the Automation Module connected to the serial port of a PC and it's working great. I'm wondering if it's possible to plug it into the ISY-994 serial port and interface to it by writing some code using the SDK, of if the only way to access the serial port on the ISY is through system programs that the smart people at Universal Devices has to write (like through an add-on module). Right now I'm using X10 commands out of the Concord 4 to figure out the arming level of the panel and when doors and windows are open, but only nine X10 codes are used by the Panel so I'm pretty limited in what I can do. Connecting to the panel directly will give me access to a lot of information I can use to control the lights in my house. Thanks, Joe
Michel Kohanim Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi Joe, Unfortunately not. With kind regards, Michel
JPStokes Posted May 5, 2013 Author Posted May 5, 2013 Is there a way that I could have the visual basic program on the PC send variable updates to the ISY? Not as functional, but at least the ISY could know the status and use it in its programs.
Michel Kohanim Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi JPStokes, Yes, you can: http://www.universal-devices.com/isy-developers ... checkout WSDK and C# examples. With kind regards, Michel
