pgreen Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 The Climate module provides some great information but is there are way for it to populate a some date and time variables in the ISY. When I click the WeatherBug RSS link I see lots of details about date at time as identified below. I would like to have access to these variable to use in some of my ISY programs. Is this possible? Thanks Peter Green
Michel Kohanim Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Hello Mr. Green, Unfortunately not. May I humbly ask what you would like to do with this information? With kind regards, Michel
pgreen Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 I was looking to get access to this information so that I could have some programs execute based upon specific dates. For example; On Dec 25th run Christmas Lights program. Peter
Michel Kohanim Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Hi Peter, I am not sure I understand how the two are related. You can already do what you want based on specific dates. With kind regards, Michel
pgreen Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 Hi Michel I do not see any options for a specific date in any of the schedule drop down menus. I see days for week and time of day but that is it. Can you provide me a sample screen of how I set a program to triggers on a specific day of the year? Thanks Peter
Michel Kohanim Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Peter, Uncheck "Daily" please. With kind regards, Michel
pgreen Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 WOW! That was totally not obvious to me. What release was that added? This opens up a whole new world of programs for me. Many Thanks! Peter
Michel Kohanim Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Hi Peter, Excellent. That was added in 2008 ... With kind regards, Michel
pgreen Posted June 16, 2013 Author Posted June 16, 2013 Can't believe I missed that feature after all these years. Meanwhile I had tried to use the ideas posted here which was much more complex than I wanted. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=10887&start=15&hilit=date+time+program Peter
