davefred99 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Ok I know this is a complicated scenario but I would like to take advantage of my Edison smart meter but it uses Zigbee. No problem if that is all I want but I also want to add Zwave to my current ISY ,Elk Insteon set up. So here is my thinking and I would like some feed back. I can add Zwave or Zigbee by upgrading to the 994i and one or the other radios (Zwave coming soon) but what if I added one or the other to my Elk system using my now unused m1xsp interface. Can ISY and Elk work together like that ? Would ISy be able to see Zwave or Zigbee devices using the module interface or am I asking too much. What would be really kool is a dual purpose radio for ISY.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Hi davefred99, The main issue is that ELK interface is not as comprehensive to allow complete management of Z-Wave devices from ISY. We are working on a few concepts which allows seamless integration between multiple ISYs. But, this is currently in design phase so I cannot really give you an ETA. With kind regards, Michel
