firewheel
I can send email alerts to gmail and outlook email recipients, but not AOL. I have three recipients (one recipient on an outlook email server, one @gmail.com, and one @aol.com) set up in an email group on the settings/groups page. When I click the "Test" button, the gmail and outlook recipients get the test email, but nothing comes through to AOL. I've turned off the spam filter on the AOL account, and still no alerts. Any idea why? Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hello firewheel, If you are using the default mail settings, it's quite possible that AOL does not like our rating. Do you see any -50000x errors in the error log? With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
firewheel
This is the error log covering the time yesterday when I tested the email: Thu 2013/07/04 03:37:42 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 04:09:20 PM System -5012 42 Thu 2013/07/04 04:19:36 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 04:26:53 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 04:30:53 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 04:32:59 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 04:33:38 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 04:42:19 PM System -10 n/a Thu 2013/07/04 05:41:34 PM System -5012 43 I just tested again now with the same results, and nothing was added to the error log. Michel Kohanim
Hi firewheel, These errors are PLM related: your PLM is responding with data not understandable by ISY. These errors have NOTHING to do with your email issue. From ISY's perspective, the emails were sent successfully. What SMTP settings are you using? The default? If so, you might want to try using your own SMTP settings. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
firewheel
I agree. It looks like for some reason the problem is on AOL's end - I was just hoping that someone had encountered this before and had a workaround. I have been using the default SMTP settings, so I'll try using an alternate and see if that makes things work. Link to comment
firewheel
Set up SMTP using smtp.gmail.com and now everything works fine. Thanks for the suggestion. Any idea why the default doesn't work? Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi firewheel, Most probably because they have a rating system that puts universal-devices.com outside the safe list. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
