pjibe Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Hi For some reasons my 2477d dimmer is not working localy. The only way to have it working is to use a PC,smart phone .... I notice that it happened when I tryed to put it on yesterday and for some reasons my finger stayed a little bit longer on the switchlinc then usual. Then the light started to flash and after that the only way to put it on/off was with the PC....... Nothing happen when I use the reset for 3 sec How can I return to the normal way to use it localy ? Thanks Jack
LeeG Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Either press and hold the On paddle until it ramps to full On, then cycle Off to On OR double tap the On paddle to generate a Fast On which will bring the load to full On, then cycle Off to On. It sounds like the SwitchLinc is operating in Resume Bright mode which has the On paddle return to the last Bright level. Check the SwitchLinc User Guide under Local On Level "resume bight" for a description of the function and how to turn Off "resume bright". That option is not under control of the ISY.
pjibe Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Thanks for your help I tryed what you wrote but it didn't work. But I finally fix it with the trial and error method. I cut the power of the said breaker and reset the dimmer switch. But one day I must understand the exact problem in order to fix it forever. It happen earlier whith an other dimmer. Jack
oberkc Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 But one day I must understand the exact problem in order to fix it forever. We are installing computers where we once installed light switches. Sometimes, computers require a reboot. By the way, I believe the same results can be had by simply pulling the little tab along the bottom of the switch, and resetting after a few seconds or a minute.

All electricity will be shut off to the devices electronics and produces the same result as shutting the circuit breaker off as far as a "reboot"
Brian H Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Just don't push the Air Gap Switch past its normal position when turning it back On. All the way in does a Factory Reset.
