I picked up a Remotelinc last night and added it to my setup. I created a scene consisting of the Remotelinc and one Keypadlinc dimmer.

 

The light is toggled on and off by the Keypadlinc - the light turns on and off instantaneously, but scene adjustments to the ramp rate and level don't seem to take. I can set up a ramp rate of 4.5 seconds and the light still comes on instantaneously. Restarting the Keypadlinc has no effect. Is there some special procedure for programming this with the Remotelinc?

One thing to remember is that insteon scenes can have different ramp rates and ON levels, depending on which controller.

 

When you are programming ramp rates and ON levels you wish to be in effect when the remotelinc is used, make sure you have selected the remotelinc under the scene definition. With the remotelinc selected, you should see, in the main panel, each of the devices in the scene, with ramp rates and ON levels. Make sure the keypad has the correct rates and levels.

Thanks, oberkc.I forgot about this detail. Setting the ramp rate on the responder with the controller in the scene selected enabled me to adjust the ramp rate on the light when the remotelinc on button was selected.
