jlegan Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I just received a call from my dad who recently moved to Texas and is now setup with AT&T U-Verse. His ISY was working properly in FL sending mail out of smtp.gmail.com (TLS over 587). When he tried to send mail in TX it seemed to be blocked. I then googled and found: http://forums.att.com/t5/Email-Internet ... wEtBEJdXss. If you scroll to the bottom you will see that as of 12/11/2013 AT&T has started blocking non-SSL SMTP connections. I found a few mentions of plans to implement SSL support in the future but that was in 2010. Has anyone worked around this problem yet? Thanks, Jim
Michel Kohanim Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hi Jim, That's quite odd. SSL is an obsolete standard and superseded by TLS and that's what is being used by ISY. I do not think the link talks about external SMTP services (such as gmail) but AT&T's smtp service. With kind regards, Michel
