Throttle e-mail notifications?

Featured Replies

I have a couple of motion detectors which send me e-mail notifications when motion is detected. It works great!

I also have a cat, so I expect to see some motion messages once in a while.

Often, however, I'll get like 10 messages when kitty decides to walk around and get some food.

Is there a way to throttle how many messages are sent within a period of time?

Or better yet, can you actually get the motion sensors adjust to be insensitive to an 8 pound kitty?

The motion sensor sensitivity can be reduced by installing Jumper 1. If the cat is walking on the floor the motion sensor can be pointed up a little. Jumper 1 cannot be changed with programming.

You can also perform a cheap hack to reduce the MS field of view. Simply apply some tape or what ever masking agent you wish to the lower portion of the sensor.

This will allow the kitty cat to roam around undetected.
