malcolme
I am having trouble linking my ISY994i to two Icon Switch Dimmers V.27 2876D3. I am running latest 4.05 Software on ISY994i/IR Pro. They are actually linked and are currently being controlled by a (2486D) KeypadLinc Dimmer 8 Buttons v.36 working perfectly. I added the KeypadLinc Dimmer to the ISY but it did not add these two Dimmers being controlled by the Switch. In fact adding the Dimmer did not correctly see a number of modules but I have gotten these now all linked. I have tried manually adding these dimmers by address and ICON description but they continually fail. Any suggestions? Best, Malcolm
LeeG
Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3. Attempt to add the Icon Dimmer and post the event trace.
malcolme
LeeG - thanks for the advice. I actually tried a recommendation from elsewhere on the forum, moving the access points closer to the panel and with that I am now able to reach these two Dimmers with the ISY. Too bad that the PLM's signal is weaker than the Insteon modules! Best and thanks, Malcolm
oberkc
One common problem is to install the PLM on an outlet or circuit with much computer equipment. Under certain conditions, this can create problems for the insteon powerline communications. I would, were I you, consider this possibility as well. Make sure your PLM is on a good, clean circuit. If necessray use filters for other suspect devices on that circuit.
