Scyto Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hi Any plans to support the new TED Pro Home + Spyder http://www.theenergydetective.com/prohome? I am looking at energy metering. Yes I have looked at Brultech GEM, but given I have been waiting nearly a month for a quote and sales are unresponsive my confidence in them is on the decline and I have started to look at alternatives. Michel Kohanim Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Hi Alex, Unfortunately we do not have any plans for this device. You might also want to check Z-Wave energy monitors which are mostly supported. With kind regards, Michel
Brian H Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 There is a good chance it would interfere with the Insteon Power Line signals. I know the TED1000 and TED5000 both use a Power Line Signal of 132KHz at the AC Zero Crossing. I believe every second a message is sent. Insteon is close at 131.65KHz at 800us before Zero Crossing. I know a TED clobbers an X10 signal and I believe some have also reported problems with Insteon.
