smokegrub Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I am considering replacing a SmartLinc 2412n at a remote location with an ISY994i. That location has frequent power outages with some as long as a couple of days. I am interested in knowing how well the ISY powers up without intervention following such outages. Any feedback will be appreciated.,
Xathros Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Shouldn't be a problem. -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
larryllix Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 All variables have default power up values controllable by the programmer. Any states that need to continue, as they were, are easy to set up.
smokegrub Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 All the programs are simple on/off commands. So, given the foregoing feedback, I can expect the ISY to resume its control functions following power outages??
LeeG Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I have not had my ISYs off for days because of power issues but they have been powered down for several minutes, more than long enough to completely cycle down. They have always powered up and been completely functional without manual intervention.
oberkc Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 We have a couple of power outages each year for various reasons. They are usually less than a few hours. A couple of years ago, we had some pretty serious wind storms come through and we lost power for a couple days. Never a problem. Never requires manual intervention to get back working.
