k5map
Is there a INSTEON chime device that does not require the I/O Linc? The "beep" sound from the LampLinc and others is not loud enough so looking for something louder. Ideally, something like this http://www.thex10shop.com/product/x10-powerhouse-sc546a-remote-chime-module-sc546-rsc15
Brian H
I have not seen any Insteon type chime module. I use two of the X10 Chime Modules you linked to and have my ISY994i send an X10 message to sound them. Not ideal but with no Insteon Chime module. The only other way is an I/OLInc , power supply and a sounder or use the I/OLIncs +5 volt supply and a low current sounder on the relay contacts. jmac
You also could use the X10 chime in an appliance linc if you don't have the. X10 module
Techman
K5MAP The current X10 sounder modules that are being sold have very little gain. The current limitation, which is 10 mA, and the 5 volt supply on the I/OLinc precludes one from using a sounder that has a decent volume I used a chime Piezo from Radio Shack along with a 12 volt DC power cube and the Insteon on/off module. Radio Shack also has Piezos that are well over 100db in case you're a sound sleeper. Techman
