andyf0 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Hi Wes, I have a Z-Wave Outlet Module from Leviton that shows in the ISY as a "Scene Switch". In MobiLinc under Devices it shows as a Status Only device and I can't turn it on or off. It shows as Type 134 vs a GE Module who's type shows as "Dimmer" and is a Control Device. This is probably a device you don't support yet in MobiLinc so I was wondering if you add it please? Thanks While I'm typing, something I've lived with but would like to point out is a KeypadLiinc that used to be a 4 button but I converted to an 8 button device cannot be controlled at all. I have a scene for each button that only contains the button. I cannot turn the buttons on or off via their scene. It looks like it's a status only device again, there are no controls under the tools button. Works fine under Admin Console. The other KPL I have is a 4 button and has always been a 4 button works fine.
InsteonNut Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Hi Andy, Thanks for letting us know. MobiLinc recognizes the device, but it wasn't aware that it was controllable. We've added this to our fix list to be included in our iOS 8 release. Just to confirm is this a dimmable device or simply an ON/OFF type device? Yes, converted KPLs from 6 to 8 buttons are not picked up in MobiLinc. The problem is that the ISY (correctly) still identifies the device as a 6 button controller. I'm not aware of how to determine that the 6 button is actually now an 8 button controller. I'll reach out to UDI for more information. Wes
andyf0 Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 Yes, the Leviton device is a dimmer module, not just on/off. Maybe you could count the nodes the ISY reports for the KPL?
andyf0 Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Hi Wes, I haven't seen an IOS8 release yet. Still waiting for this Leviton device support.
InsteonNut Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Hi Andy, We haven't released our iOS 8 update yet...still working on it. This Leviton device support is on our list to fix before we release. Wes
Mark H Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Question.... I have not updated my iPad mini with iOS 8 yet (and am admittedly not very Apple-savvy). But if I do update to iOS 8, will the MobiLink I have running now, for iOS 7, continue to work? Or do I have to wait for the ML update for iOS 8?
andyf0 Posted October 19, 2014 Author Posted October 19, 2014 I'm running the current release on IOS 8 and it works fine.
Mark H Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Thank you, Andy. I'll take the plunge and update to iOS 8.1 this week then.
Xathros Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I'm on iOS 8.1 and Mobilinc is fine here to. -Xathros Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
InsteonNut Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Hi Folks, I can confirm that MobiLinc works fine with iOS 8/8.1. While we are working on a number of iOS8 features for the next release, the existing app works on iOS 7/8. One exception. If you use the Voice Control plug-in WITH a bluetooth headset, this is known to not work on iOS 8/8.1. We are working with our voice partners to determine what the change was in iOS 8 that now prevents mic data from the bluetooth headset from correctly entering MobiLinc. Wes
