barkster Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I am looking to control my pool actuators via my isy994 and was looking at the Smartenit EZIO8SA but see that it requires a power source and a plm directly connected. My current plm of course is connected to my isy994. From what I read you can't have two plm's on the network. The Smartenit EZIO40 seems to do the same thing but less but it is out of stock on smarthome site. How do you connect the EZIO8SA? Suggestions? Thanks
Xathros Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Most Insteon devices have a PLM built in. The EZIO8SA does not and as a result require an external PLM connected. This is acceptable as this is a device and not a system controller like the ISY. -Xathros

Having communication issues with it right now (reliable signal) but I don't think it's the EZIOs fault... It's a distance/network problem that I'm working on. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
paulbates Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I was just talking to Orchestrated Home. They have 2 EZIOs in stock. Unless I really needed the features of the EZIO8sa, I think this would be a simpler solution. I got my ISY from them and have been very happy with them.

I run two ISYs, each with its own PLM and at present also have an EZIO8SA with its own PLM. Of course the ISYs are controlling their own unique set of Insteon devices and the EZIO8SA is defined to only one ISY..
