jtl9729 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Does the restore devices function in the ISY-99 delete existing links that were created manually on devices? Having failed to read the forum advice before setting up my ISY-99 I added it to the existing Insteon network and did not use the delete existing links option. I tried to manually unlink the devices later then but I still seem to get some "ghost" links where keypad buttons now activate both the old device they were linked to manually as well as the new device they were linked to with the ISY. Any advice on how to get them to just do the devices I have them set with in the ISY? Thanks, Josh
Michel Kohanim Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Hello Josh, Restore Devices restores whatever is in ISY back into your devices. If you want to start fresh, may I humbly suggest: 1. Factory reset your ISY http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... ur_ISY-99i 2. Add devices and this time choose the first option Please do let us know how this works out. Chris Jahn Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Actually, it depends on what release you are running. In version 2.6, restore devices does the following: - 'Restore Device' now removes links to unknown devices - 'Restore Device' now removes duplicate links - 'Restore Device' now moves keypad led links to front of link database - 'Restore Device' now ensures link to PLM for responder only devices http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=266 As an alternative, if you notice an unwanted link that does not show up in the ISY, then do the following to remove it (or recognize it): http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=537
