raderu Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 hello....my isy 994i would not update status of switch link ( ON or OFF ) on the dash board if used actual wall switch link.its requires manual refresh to update status of switch link Only updates status if used written programs or use dash board to switch that link ON or OFF...please advise...
LeeG Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 If the SwitchLinc is the only device not reporting manual changes right click on node and select Restore Device. It sounds like the SwitchLinc has lost its link database. If many devices are not reporting manual changes then it is more likely the PLM has lost its link database. A File | Restore Modem (PLM) would be the first thing to try.
raderu Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 one thing i forgot to mention : i just replaced my PLM with the new since old one stopped working.....May be it is special procedure to i missed to hook it up properly?....because my "refresh " issues started after this... i tried to file/restore PLM...it did not help
LeeG Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 The ISY needs to be powered Off when replacing PLM. When the ISY is back up then run Restore Modem (PLM).
raderu Posted September 23, 2014 Author Posted September 23, 2014 tried follow those steps.....tried restore PLM....still same result : if use any switch link ( i have over 20 of them ) it will not update status unless manually refresh....other options?....and this happened after i replaced PLM...
LeeG Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 The process of "replacing" a PLM did not rebuild the device links. If powering down the ISY did not allow Restore Modem (PLM) to work I have no suggest other than doing a Restore Device to each SwitchLinc. The Wiki section that covers PLM replacement .... http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:File_Menu#Replace_Modem_.28PLM.29
