The_Penguin Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Hi all. I have a modest automation system based on an ISY994i and a number of Insteon devices. It's all working very well except I have one switch that has stopped communicating. I have tried removing / re-installing it, but no luck. It was intermittent for a while, now it just won't talk. I can turn it on and off, but the system never sees what stat it is in, which makes one of my programs somewhat useless. Any suggestions before I just order a replacement? Thanks.
Techman Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Before you replace it try doing a factory reset on the switch. Remove it from the ISY before the reset.
Xathros Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Have you tried a factory reset then a restore device? It could also be a communications problem to the install location. You can either place the switchlink on an appliance cord and plug it in near the PLM or using an extension cord, plug the PLM into the same circuit that the switchlinc is on for a test. -Xathros
The_Penguin Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Thanks for the prompt replies! I believe I did try the factory reset a while ago, but will try that again. Will also try it plugged in to the same outlet as the PLM. Am away from the house, will try on the weekend.
