bwoodfl Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I have a 2477D - Dual Band Switchlinc Dimmer that controls ceiling can lights in a room. The switch works just fine, I also have 2 lamps in the same room. Is there a way to program the switch so if I press Off twice that it would turn the lamps on and then if I pressed Off again twice that it would turn the lamps off? I still want the swith to control the canned lights with the normal on and off and hold for dim and be able to use the same switch to control the lamps. Thanks for any help. Bill
LeeG Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) Unfortunately that cannot be done with a single SwitchLinc. Tapping the Off paddle (simple Off or double tap to generate a Fast Off) will turn the SwitchLinc load Off. Assuming the lamps are already on LampLincs a KeypadLinc or even a battery powered 4 button Mini Remote can be used to control the SwitchLinc with its load and the LampLincs with their load independently. stusviews Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 As LeeG suggested, your best choice is a KeypadLinc in place of the SwitchLinc. But, you can have a Fast Off toggle between turning the lamps on or off. What you cannot do is prevent the SwitchLinc's load from turning off.
