SMARTCHARGE SC5-5000K-E26 LED LIGHT BULB

It's anLED bulb that has an internal rechargeable battery to provide backup during power failures. I like the idea of a light bulb with its own battery backup at a few key points in the house.

Anyone tried this bulb yet in an Insteon environment? Wondering if it causes any comm problems and senses power failures accurately.

I read about this device a few months back and was actually hoping to see if anyone here installed any. If you decide to pull the trigger let us know how they work in your Insteon network.

I am more curious as to the actual battery run time while power is out.

This was the promo I saw in January of this year:

I am still unclear as to how it knows the difference between power on vs a power out condition. I am assuming it uses the neutral to tell the differential of line loss.

This is another similar product that I reviewed last year. I decided to sit on the fence until a number of people provided feed back about the quality, run time, and over all build.
