Craigb Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I am wondering if the Z-wave board and the Zigbee radio are mutually exclusive in an ISY-994i/Pro? Or can both the Zigbee radio and the Z-wave board co-exist inside the ISY? I currently have the ISY-994iZ/IR Pro, and am now headed toward wanting to add Z-wave devices to the system. Wondering if I need to pull the Zigbee out to add the Z-Wave capability. I'm not currently using the IR, nor the Zigbee. Thanks Craig
Teken Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Hello Craig, What are your plans for the Zigbee card moving forward? May I ask did you ever implement any Energy Monitoring via Brultech devices?
Craigb Posted December 6, 2014 Author Posted December 6, 2014 Teken, I did not implement any Brultech monitoring as of yet. My panel is older and the amount of space to add current transformers and a location to install a cabinet for the module within the space avaialble and according to the Chicago Electrical code made the project prohibitive. As for the Zigbee card - I will likely switch to my "spare" ISY that I'm adding the Z-wave card to. That will make the Zigbee card and it's ISY surplus when I've switched over. (ISY-994iZ/IR PRO) Craig

(ISY-994iZ/IR PRO) Craig Hello Craig, You won't have to wait too much longer when Beta 5.XX comes out. You will then be able to have two way COM'S between each unit and take advantage of all four protocols all in one system. So it won't be surplus for very long and your investment is very much protected. ️ Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
