Make web authentication a user preference

Whereas I can see the need to authenticate the admin console, not everyone wants authentication on the web browser interface where the potential for 'damage' is small. Is it possible for this web authentication to be made a user preference via the console in some way?

Most web browsers allow you to store your credentials and thus will never had to enter a userid/password. What browser are you using?

 

And, as a matter of fact, we do have this requirement (for the admin console) but it has a very low priority.

Storing credentials isn't the functionality I was looking for. Glad to see you at least have a better solution it in mind
