I am wanting to get a fanlinc for one of my fans and noticed while reading about it that it can control the fan AND the light. This particular fan is on a 4-way switch (3 NON-Insteon switches currently). My question is how will the Fanlinc play with regular switches? Will the light still act the way it does today?

All controls need to be INSTEON compatible devices. You cannot use any of the two existing 3-way nor the one 4-way switch at all.

 

The good news is that you have the wiring in place, but you'll need to change some connections. If you replace each existing switch with a 6-button KeypadLinc, then you'll be able to control both the fan and light from each location. In any case, at least one device should be a KPL.
