stusviews Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 First time I've seen them. I do have the white papers. BTW, we've all been down the road to nowhere. Fortunately, when we get there, we're not lost. We're back where we started, bedraggled, but willing to go again, and again, and ...
Brian H Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 They are from the Developer Groups Code download area. Not sure how they got public.
Teken Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 I've had access to them since release. Just never interested me until now since I needed to determine the cat / sub cat. Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
Teken Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 OK, it looks like I won't be getting any formal help from any company on this matter. So, lets see if the community can assist me in getting some basic things to operate and function. OBJECTIVE: To be able to connect and control the valve for both open / close. Receive alert notification via the Insteon network either using HL2 / ISY. TROUBLE SHOOTING: I have been able to determine that physical linking must be done when using HL2 Software. Using the actual Insteon address will bring up a unknown / unsupported device in HL2. The ISY is able to add various Insteon devices to its data base but they are not appropriate and thus cause no actions / status to be displayed. I have been able to confirm using HL2 software I can make the device beep and also initiate a close of the valve. I am unsure why selecting the On causes a closing state and have to gather the same command is being sent by accident. HL2 VERBOSE LOGS; With the assistance of HL2 Software (Thank God) I have been able to capture the following data points. If anyone can help me and explain how to send a direct command to this device via HL2 / ISY this might help me kludge a solution moving forward. This is the trace when I sent a beep tone: This is the trace upon selecting the refresh key. This is when I selected the ON button. This is when I sent a OFF command via the HL2 Software. This is the output of the diagnostics: This is the read record test:
Teken Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 During the course of testing I decided to just link the device to the ISY and read the link tables this is what I saw. I am unsure why these link reference a device I don't know about or see. I wanted to show what message came up when selecting a random device which did not take.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Teken, We are on the beta list and thus we will be sent notifications when new devices are available. I am not sure what these devices are and without proper documentation it would be very difficult to support them. With kind regards, Michel
Brian H Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 It maybe too new, back ordered or being phased out. The FlloodStop web site indicated not available at this time. As does Smarthome. DIYControls at this time does not list it in their FloodStop items. I did find a online sales site that indicated they had stock on the item
Michel Kohanim Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Hi BrianH, Thanks so very much for the detective work! With kind regards, Michel
