As I understand it, the port number should be shown just after the ISY's IP address, correct? Mine is not, so I don't know which port to forward on the router for internet access. Any idea as to how I enable this?

The five-digit port number following the IP address is required only for firmware versions 1.0.0 (ISY-99i)/2.6 (ISY-26) and earlier (check your firmware version at Help-->About). For all later versions, the default ports are 80 (http) for local access, and 443 (https) for remote access. These may be changed if required.

I have this same problem my isy doesn't show a port. here is what my info looks like when I view it:

where the x, y and zz are numbers that correspond to my IP address.

where am I going wrong.

 

(please note that I am trying to access this from within my home network to test it but want to use this while I am out of the house in the future, if I can get it to work.)

Delete the /0/x from your address.

 

If you use https://x.y.z.1 it should automatically use port 443. The port will not be displayed in the About requester if it is 443.

 

Depending on your router you may only be able to access the ISY from the LAN on the LAN: https://192.168.0.199 will use secure access.

If you windows home server is already using port 443 you will have to assign a different port to the ISY. CWP_-_Configure_Webserver_Ports.

 

Then you will have to append the port # to the IP address and it should be displayed in the ISY About as such.

Sounds like your router is already forwarding port 443 to your Windows Home Server. Assuming you want to keep that capability, I would recommend setting the ISY for a custom SSL port and forwarding that port on your router to the ISY.
