Had a Blackberry and was able to connect remotely to my ISY 99i through the UD GUI.  Also on my Blackberry I was able to remotely connect to my DVR (with non-IP cameras) using a generic mobile DVR viewer.  Just switched to an iPhone 5s so I need to get the 99i and DVR viewer working on it. Was able to get the UD GUI working on my iPhone but no luck with the DVR.  So I thought I would try Mobilinc Pro.

 

After launching the Mobilinc app on my phone it directs me thru a series of steps. First step is install the Mobilinc Connect Module, which itself has several steps.  The first of these steps is to launch the Admin Console (done).  Next step is to verify that firmware version is 3.1.17 or later (mine is 3.3.10 so seems OK).  Then is says from Help>Purchase Modules, purchase the Portal Mobilinc Connect Module for $1 (done).  Then it says go to Help>Manage Modules, and it says the Admin Console will automatically install the Mobilinc Connect Module and reboot the ISY 99i.  Well, then a window pops up asking if I would like to proceed with installation of "Portal Integration - Mobilinc Connect (21073)".  I say yes, after a couple seconds it says "ISY will now be rebooted for the settings to take effect".  I click OK ... then the Admin Console disappears and does not reappear. 

 

So, after few minutes I manually re-launch the admin console.  Then ... the same window pops up asking me if I want to proceed with installation of "Portal Integration - Mobilinc Connect (21073)".   and the vicious cycle repeats itself.

 

The next step in the installation instruction is the check Help>About in the Admin Console to see if the  "Portal Integration - Mobilinc (21073)" is installed ... and I see that it is not.

 

So back to the iPhone, the final step is to Confirm ISY Connection by tapping.  I tap and get the error "ISY Not Connected ... please confirm Mobilinc Connect is installed ...". 

 

So it looks like the problem is that I am unable to install the "Portal Integration - Mobilinc Connect (21073)".

 

What am I doing wrong?  Will it only work with 994i and not 99i.  Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

I think I already responded to your ticket. The issue is that we migrated iur module update server and in the process broke the module for 99 only. 994 works properly.

 

We are working on a solution.

I have tried it again and I get the following error:

 

TCP client resource moved [uDI-MM]

Subscriber didn't reply to event: 1

 

Any guidance from here?

Unfortunately, after hours of deliberation and troubleshooting, due to the unsecure nature of the firmware in ISY99, we had to disable it. Please do be kind enough to send your invoice + your UUID to sales@universal-devices.com and we'll give you a refund.

I very much doubt it because all servers stopped supporting SSL and 99 supports only SSL.

You'll need to upgrade/replace your ISY-99i with the current ISY-994i in order to connect your ISY to MobiLinc Connect. Or, you can always use a direct IP connection to your ISY, but you'll miss out on push notifications, Today View included support, and dead easy remote access.
