Individual Device Control From ISY Folder

I'm a newbie at this so maybe there is already a way to do what I'm asking and have not found it.

My suggestion:

When I looking at the overall view of all devices in the 'ISY" Folder on the main tree the only control option I see is "ALL ON" or "ALL OFF" or "Query All"

It would be very helpful if I could select an individual device and right click it and have the same options available as from selecting the individual device from the tree and right clicking it. Here I can only see the results of the single device.

The big advantage from the ISY overview would be: I can see all the devices. I can select any individual one, turn it on or off and watch how another device or group of devices react. Will be a great trouble shooting tool.

Currently I can use the event viewer but I have to read each entry, where as the ISY overview is more visual and easier and quickly see the results.

Hopefully this will not be difficult as all the functions and menus are already created, just add this additional function to this view ?

Thanks for your open minded support.

That's the way I read it. Select a device and control it.

Hi,

My tree is still mostly as default when I received it new.

The second item under I think network says "ISY" it shows a table of all the devices, their status and some other information. (Sorry I,m not looking at it right now)

On the bottom there are 3 options, all on, all off, query all.

If I double click an individual device it will open the page for that device.

I would like to be able to select an individual device then it turn on or off (or ? ) By right clicking (or however) an individual device and watch the other devices change state as programmed.

This would be a great trouble shooting tool where you could watch the program execute.

Say I have a program that changes 3 other devices when turned on it would be very easy to select that single item on that table, then toggle it on and then watch and see the program turn on the other 3 items all on one place.

Hope this makes more sense ?

Thanks

Hi Don,

Thanks so very much. Unfortunately I still don't get it. Is it at all possible to take a screenshot and annotate it with your suggestion and send it to support@universal-devices.com?

With kind regards,

Hi Michel,

I believe the request is to select a device from My Lighting, right click and be able to control the device.

Grizzly, you can accomplish that from the HTML interface.

Respectfully.
