Piper just released the new version of their security camera.

It has motion, audio, video, temp, humidity, and can control z-wave devices.

 

I am curious if this can connect to the ISY and report any of these sensors. I am most interested in motion, temp, and humidity. I dont expect the video to work outside of their Piper app. but I hope some integration can be made to trigger ISY scenes and programs.

I received the "Piper NV" camera and The setup was easier than I could ever have imagined. Honestly, less than 5 minutes from opening the box I was viewing the camera over cellular. Plug it in, connect adhoc with the iPhone to set the home wifi password, create a free account with only a username and password and it just works! No router setup, decent video and audio, intuitive interface, simple but useful alerts. I haven't setup any z wave devices because all I currently have is my Yale lock and I like that on the ISY for multiple reasons.

 

I read a few random posts hinting that piper has the ability to be a secondary z-wave device but there isn't any documentation that I could find. I really need to send piper an email about this but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I attached a few screenshots to show how the fisheye lense looks. You either see the whole room and pinch zoom to " pan tilt zoom" or you have the option to set four quadrants and customize each view. The two right quadrants have been made to look like one but are in fact separate.

 

All in all I'm very happy with the purchase and look forward to integrating it into my ISY if/when those features become available. Thank you UDI for your continued support for so many devices, hopefully we can get the piper integrated as well!
