jwarner964 Posted January 21, 2015 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Hi I had a switchlinc dimmer flack out on me, light flickered didn't light then did, I did a reset on it and tried to restore it on my ISY and it didn't have communication with it tried the process again and it started working again but now there is 2 shot buzzing sounds coming from the switch when turned on or off. it had been working fine, I installed it about a month ago, there wasn't a buzz before the restore. after the reset when switching on off, any ideas why the buzzing Thanks jeff Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The load could have been damaged by a surge if its a CFL / LED. If so the electronics could be showing up in the switches logic thus declaring a fault. If you remove the load and the buzzing goes away its the load. If removing the load still causes a buzz the device is damaged or faulty and needs to be returned for replacement. Brian H Posted January 21, 2015 Share Posted January 21, 2015 I believe a Factory Reset. Uses the Air Gap Switch being pulled out and then pushed all the way in after ten seconds. When you pulled the Air Gap Switch out. You power cycled reset the Switchlinc. If it was in a strange state of confusion. That may have corrected it.
