Scyto Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Hope this helps someone. I was testing the alerts services and could not get it to work, eventually I realized it was working fine to every email address I have except my outlook.com email. The message was not appearing in the junk mail folder either- I can only assume Microsoft has placed universal-devices.com on a block list? Anyways here is how to fix. Logon to the web version of outlook.com Click the cog (upper right) and then options Click safe and blocked senders Click safe senders add @universal-devices.com to the box on the left and click add to list >> This then ensures alerts work. It will be interesting to see what other mails from UD I was getting that vanished into the ether
Michel Kohanim Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Hi Scyto, You have no idea how much I appreciate this post. We spent over half a day trying to figure out the cause thinking it was related to ISY. Wireshark and all! Thank you! With kind regards, Michel
Scyto Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Glad to help, I can only guess the universal-devices domain is on some spam list. I wonder if there is a way to get it removed....
Michel Kohanim Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Hi Scyto, We keep removing it but the generated alerts cause major havoc. With kind regards, Michel
