I have a 15 Kw system and selected the Insteon system because it will do either over wire communications or raido communications. I currently have it set to use both, and as expected my solar system is not happy about the wire communications. Having several insteon devices in every room though the house I am assuming that I can turn off the wireline communitations and just use the wireles.. Has anyone done this.. What happened over time? Teken Posted March 1, 2015 Share Posted March 1, 2015 There is currently one device that allows the end user to disable or select RF vs Powerline and that is the latest dual outlet linc. Regarding power line related issues another user has decided to use Enphase's filter module intended for commercial applications. I contacted Enphase and they did tell me that the Microinverters retain all the data for as long as a month, so no data is lost, I just get the data up to a day later which in my case is not an issue. That is what I thought you would say so thanks for the confirmation on that data point! As I pointed out up top the only current Insteon product that allows RF / Power Line disable is the dual outlet linc.
