greensha Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 For the last several years I have run two separate networks at my house; a T1 line for work and a DSL for everything else. I will shortly be ditching the T1 line and moving everything over to the DSL connection. This afternoon, I unplugged my ISY994i from the T1 switch and plugged it into the DSL switch (while powered off and rebooted it after the swap was made). I can access the ISY device page with both Chrome and Explorer, but Chrome has the problem with the admin console. As I generally try to avoid Explorer as much as I can, I tried to use the Java applet available from this site (it had worked find before the switch). However, the ISY Finder gives me a "Not Found" message. I tried adding the URL manually with the "Add" button but still get the "Not Found" message. The ISY does show up in my Network window (using Windows 7) and I can bring up the admin page using Explorer. Any ideas? Thanks! Andy
stusviews Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Which firmware version? UI version? Java version? did you clear the Java cache?
Michel Kohanim Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Hi Andy, If you have a MAC, please take a look here: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Troubleshooting_Help#MAC_OSX(under ISY Finder does not find ISY). If you don't, then I suspect your firewall software (on your computer) is blocking UDP search packets. You might want to try using http://isy... on Windows, this resolves to ISY's IP address. With kind regards, Michel
greensha Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 I am using Windows 7. I can access the ISY with Chrome but because of the compatibility issue with Chrome and Java, I cannot access the admin console with Chrome. I can access the admin console with Internet Explorer, but I would rather use the Java admin console (http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/admin.jnlp) directly. I don't think the ISY is being blocked by my firewall as I can type "isy" into the address bar and the http://isy/WEB/udajax.htm console shows up. I am using firmware and UI 4.2.18 and Java version 8 update 45. I have cleared my Java cache. It seems to me that somewhere the Java console launch option is trying access the ISY at the old location. I don't know how to point it to the new address. Thanks!
stusviews Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Select Add and add the correct address. If that works, then you can delete the old address.
greensha Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 I've solved my problem. I deleted the ISY994 Administrative Console and reinstalled it and gave it http://isyas the url and I'm back in business. Thank you everyone for your help!
