Disabling a device with Mobilinc

Featured Replies

Is there anyway to disable a motion sensor from within Mobilinc? I have a motion sensor that turns off my exterior light even though I activate it from the switch. I have seen you can disable a program but I just want to disable the sensor instead. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

If the Motion Sensor is a Controller in a Scene that is affecting the exterior light, disabling the Motion Sensor will not affect the Scene.  Insteon has no concept of disabling a device in a Scene.

If you are using the MS as a controller of a scene, You could set the motion sensor to "On only" mode and use a program to manage turning off the scene after a timeout.  This way, you can either disable the program to prevent the scene from turning off or build in logic that does this automatically when the scene is activated by a switch rather than  the MS.  I have seen and posted examples of this elsewhere on these forums.
