Can ISY-26 call a URL?

Featured Replies

I have a non-Insteon device which I'd like my ISY-26 to control. Commands are sent to the non-Insteon device via simple URL eg http://device/command.cgi?instruction=xxx The information returned by the URL is irrelevant.

My questions:

Is this supported?

if not, are there plans to include this in the future?

Best,

A general output of an http command is not supported at the present time.

This feature along with the capability of the ISY to respond to an http command has been requested several times in the past and I believe there was a positive response to the request from UDI personnel at that time.

An update on the progress or priority of this feature would be nice. I apologize in advance if I've missed or forgotten some recent mention of it in a soon to-be released firmware version (it's hard to keep up with everything going on here). :)

Hi Jim,

We are working on it as an optional module. As you can imagine, things get a little more complicated as soon as the URLs can be "POST"ed and PUT in addition to GET. But, we are working on it.

With kind regards,

Michel

My Nabaztag Internet Rabbit patiently awaits the opportunity to interact with ISY via her http API
