jmed999 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Will the new phones running Windows 10 Mobile run the Admin Console? I know it will work on the Windows 10 computers, laptops, and tablets but what about the phones that will run Windows 10 mobile? Thanks!
steveng57 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 The browser should handle it just fine. But if you want something better I highly recommend Snap Switch for the Win 10 phone. The icons/graphics could use a little modernization, but its otherwise and awesome app. Great support for live tiles etc https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/store/apps/Snap-Switch/9WZDNCRFJQ8S
jmed999 Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 I want the ability to edit programs on a phone. Will Snap Switch give me that option? If not, I'm thinking the admin console will if it works on a Windows 10 mobile phone.
MWareman Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Windows Mobile 10 is like Windows RT. Built to run on ARM CPUs and, as such, Java won't work. So no, you cannot run the admin console on these. However, you could likely RDP to a full desktop.
supernovae Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Nokia 950 and 950Xl and the upgrades to existing phones run ARM, so there is no JVM. Rumor is in 2016 MS will launch an intel based phone as a Surface Phone. In which case you could run Java
