to_lighter Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Hi gang, I have been playing with the Floor Plan function, but it feels very primitive. I feel like I am missing something. I can add switches to rooms that I name, but what is the point? Can I use these rooms in some way on the ISY99i? I've been thinking about getting an Easytouch P, which says that it integrates with the ISY99i, but they suggest that you set up the Floor Plan function, which is why I have developed an interest in this function. Cheers!
Steve Sullivan Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I was just playing with this myself. I think it's on the back burner for development. This probably isn't all that helpful but I figured out today you can drop your devices into the rooms you create. From there you can click on the item and it will bring up the control buttons. It isn't pretty and I couldn't find much for documents on it. [/img]
to_lighter Posted December 9, 2008 Author Posted December 9, 2008 That was my impression. It feels unfinished. A couple of things that I can't figure out. 1) Can you resize the room boxes? 2) Can you embed rooms within a larger floor object? Cheers!

Had to switch from Safari to Firefox, then suddenly I could resize the boxes. Cheers!
Michel Kohanim Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Hi to_lighter, May I humbly suggest not using the Floor Plan function as it's currently used only for IES touchscreens and we are planning to remove it completely. With kind regards, Michel That was my impression. It feels unfinished. Michel Kohanim Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Hello to_lighter, Apologies for the confusion. We are going to remove the Floor Plan but it shall be replace with something much more functional (such as rooms as nodes in the tree) and simpler to use and maintain. IES touchscreens WILL not be impacted at all since the resulting documents shall NOT be changed and will continue to work with IES touchscreens. In short, we are just removing the FL feature and not support for IES touchscreens.
