Some setup tips:

 

  • when you add the GEM device for the first time even after your configure the IP address and port of the GEM it may take some while before the Install ISY nodes button shows up (this only shows up once nodelink is decoding the packet from the GEM)
  • make sure that you set the COM1 packet format to 2 or 14 - COM1 is bound to the wifi / ether net / combo modules
  • if you don't exit the GEM setup webpage nodelink may not be able able to see the GEM / decode its packet
  • make sure you exit out of the GEM setup and then close the browser - if you just close the browser or tab it may take a minute or two before the nodelink starts seeing the packet
  • if you want to see AMPs in ISY / sent to SEG/emoncms the majke syoure you enable 'include Current in Packet' in the GEM setup webpage
  • if you have a dashbox make sure it is using COM2 and not connected to COM1 pins
