JohnMcGrew Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 30 years ago, my CP-290 that ran my X10 world was capable of this: For programmed events, there was a "security" option that would randomly offset the programmed event by 5 minutes or so earlier or later. The point was to make your home look occupied by not having lights turn on at the exact same time each day. I'm surprised that this feature has been AWOL on most HA systems ever since, especially one as comprehensive as the ISY.
LeeG Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Something like this .... Test1 - [iD 0083][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Wait 5 minutes (Random) Set 'LampLinc DB' On Wait 5 minutes (Random) Set 'LampLinc-Christmas' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
paulbates Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 There is one, when using the Wait statement. Check the random check box at the end of the statement. Its designed for that purpose and works perfectly for me.
JohnMcGrew Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Awsome! Will try that. Thank you.
