cmotaval Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I am using my gmail account within the email/notification to send my verizon cell a text when a sensor is triggered. At times it can take up to 10 minutes for me to receive the message. Sometimes is instant. Is this a verizon or gmail issue?

Don't know but of my notifications are almost instantaneous using gmail and vtext. something with your dns or possibly a phone issue? Jon...
paulbates Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 You'll need to break it in pieces, Can you use Test from Settings and Groups a number of times while having gmail open to your sent box? Does it consistently get to gmail quickly, every time. If that works consistently and quickly, its the link to verizon.
MWareman Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Historically, I've seen many delays with email to SMS gateways on AT&T and T-Mobile (never had Verizon). It's why I switched to services like Pushover for those time I need instant notifications.
cmotaval Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 gonna try having it email and text and see when each arrives...thanks paulbates
