smokegrub
My Admin Console times out after a relatively brief period of inactivity and there is no indication this has occurred. That is, you can be thinking you are doing work in the console only to find that none of your work was actually processed. Ultimately, I get the password window and when I enter my credentials all is well again. Is there a setting to extend the time before a timeout? I would prefer the Admin Console remain open and active until I make a decision to close it. Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi smokegrub, This is most probably due to firewall issues: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Configuring_a_Firewall_for_Your_ISY With kind regards, Michel Link to comment

Michel Kohanim
Hi smokegrub, If you keep getting the authentication dialog, it means that ISY cannot publish events (and specifically heartbeat) to the Admin Console. This can only happen when ISY cannot find the Admin Console on the network. The major causes are firewall software (which you don't have) or network connectivity. You may want to try https instead of http. If that works, then MAC security is blocking publication of events from ISY to your computer. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
