Craigb Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I have 2 Schlage Z-Wave door locks, a FE599 and a BE369 They are linked to my ISY and I can control them and manually query them for status. They correctly report locked/unlocked status in the admin console correctly. I am able to set/maange user codes through teh ISY console, so I believe the locks are properly linked to the ISY. However, the Log (Tools/Log) does not show any lock/unlock activity initiated at the lock keypad. Ideally, the log would show the user that unlocked the lock from the keypad and log the time and also log tme and status when the lock is locked by a manual operation at the door. Have I failed to set something to cause this activity to be logged? Thanks
Michel Kohanim Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hi Craigb, Are you saying that when you lock/unlock from ISY, you see it in the log but if the it's locked by the user at the door, then you don't see it logged? With kind regards, Michel
Craigb Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Michel, Yes. If I query status from the ISY, the result is logged. If I issue an unlock command from the admin console, it is logged If a user manually enters a valid code at the lock, and unlocks the lock, I do not see any message in the ISY log.
blueman2 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I just checked. I have 1 Kwikset, 2 Schlage BE469, 1 Schlage BE369. All of them correctly log all activity, whether manually locked/unlocked or by code entry or by ISY.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Hi CraigB, Just to be clear, the status shows properly in the Admin Console and it is only the log issue? With kind regards, Michel
Craigb Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Michel, Yes, the only issue is that log entries are not created when a user unlocks the lock with a code. Manual Locks/Unlocks from the inside of the door are logged Control from the Admin Console is logged Lock/Unlock status is correctly reflected in the Admin Console. Battery Level reports are logged correctly Results of Query of the locks are logged ISY994iPro/Zw Ver 4.3.26 ZW Ver 4.55 Bootloader 1.03 The locks were installed/included when the ISY was running the previous ver 4.2.30 Sorry, I don't have the version of code in the locks handy. (I'm not at the location where they are installed) They were purchased summer of 2015. Thanks, Craig
stusviews Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Do you have the same both firmware and UI (4.3.26)?
Craigb Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Do you have the same both firmware and UI (4.3.26)? Yes, both UI and Firmware are on 4.3.26
Michel Kohanim Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 Hi Craig, Thanks so very much. Logged as a bug (182) ... we'll take a look. With kind regards, Michel
jon102034050 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I'm not sure I understand his issue exactly, but I have a BE369 and BE469 as well, and have noticed some oddities with their behavior as well. Mine too were installed on a different ISY version. Both locks don't update their status at all (this used to not be the case with my BE369 for sure). The only time it'll ever update its status is when I query it manually.
Michel Kohanim Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hi jon102034050, These are not the same issues. If you never get status updates from your locks, I suggest: 1. Heal Network 2. If that does not work, exclude it and include it again In short, there has to be an association link between the door lock and ISY. With kind regards, Michel
jon102034050 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Good to know, I've preformed a few heals recently, I guess I'll try to remove and re-add. Thanks and sorry for the unintentional thread jack
