austin_john Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) No recent backup worked, but I had one from just prior to this post: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/14643-everything-working-for-3-years-now-several-comm-issues from November 2014 that worked. All devices are now working except for the keypad that I replaced at that time. So, I added the keypad as a new device and did right/click/Replace [Keypad Name] with... the new device. Now, similar to November 2014, the ISY states that it can't communicate with the Keypad.. I have tried factory reset on the keypad and restore device, but can't resolve the issue. Edit - thought it was fixed, but still has comm error. Edited January 31, 2016 by austin_john
paulbates Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Glad you got closer to working! The keypad could possibly be a noise problem. Did you have to replace the original keypad for the same reason, unable to communicate with it? The only other suggestion I have is to use remove from folder for the keypad, and delete it. Try to add it back in. Paul
austin_john Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Thanks Paul - I did another factory reset / Write Updates and it is working.... for now. If (when) it has more comm issues, I will check the wire connections and/or remove/add the keypad in the Admin Console.
jerlands Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 You might also update the firmware either back to 4.3.26 or update to latest beta release 4.4.2. Always ensure your UI and Firmware are the same version. Jon...
jwf Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) I had a similar issue and found I "Restore Device" on all my devices did the trick of putting the correct links back into the PLM. Also had to delete and re-add some scene controllers too. Edited February 2, 2016 by jwf
